Every site we build is designed to WCAG 2.2 AA standards and ships with the EqualBrowse widget so patients with disabilities can use it. Lower ADA risk.

## Outcomes

- A site designed to accessibility standards, not patched after the fact
- Patients with vision, motor and cognitive disabilities can adjust the site to their needs
- Lower exposure to ADA demand letters

## What's included

- Design and build to WCAG 2.2 AA: contrast, keyboard navigation, labels, alt text and structure
- EqualBrowse widget installed and configured, included in the Essentials plan
- Accessibility statement page
- Re-check after every major site change
- For a site we did not build: an accessibility audit and fixes, quoted separately

## Why we build it in

Healthcare websites get a disproportionate share of ADA demand letters, and more importantly, patients with disabilities are your patients too. Every site we build is designed to WCAG 2.2 AA standards, and every one ships with the EqualBrowse widget so patients can adjust the site to their needs. The standards are what make the site accessible; the widget is what makes it easier to use.

## FAQ

### Is the widget enough on its own?

No. The widget helps a patient use the site: larger text, higher contrast, keyboard-friendly navigation and so on. It does not by itself make a site meet accessibility standards. That comes from how the site is designed and built, which is why we do both.
